Some leaders might because they like to hurt the US economy.

The US won't because global warming isn't real. It's junk science. The Earth warmed and cooled many times before the invention of the automobile. Ice covered most of North America and Vikings grew crops in Greenland at some points in history.

If global warming was such a big threat, why did the Kyoto treaty exempt China and India? Why allow two growing industrial countries to build even more industry? Why allow any country to add more CO2. It is supposedly a global problem, correct?

Token efforts and gestures only. No one on either side of the political spectrum can afford to take the drastic steps needed to make any kind of significant difference in the planet's warming trend, if, indeed, anything man can do has any effect at all on the world's climate. It would economically ruinous to seriously cut back on energy production and use, and politically suicidal to pursue such an unpopular policy. People will always put their current needs and comforts ahead of vague ominous maybes about the future of the planet.

Do something sure.
Will it change anything I don't think so.

We don't know enough about the world climate yet.

To think this is man made or not.

Ask someone who studies statics and say you have a lot of 6 billion and your sample size is 300 can you give me a confidence factor of 100?

Than look at their reaction.

If by do something you mean blame the USA and try to enact legislation that restricts the American economy you can count on it. If you mean taking actual action in which all share the pain equally the answer is no.
