An Associate's degree is for completing two years of college and is typically only for the general requirements (math, language, etc.). This degree is mainly from a junior college, like a community college.
A Bachelor's is a four year degree and is given in a particular field, like Business Administration, Communications, etc. If you start and finish in a university, you work toward the Bachelor degree and don't get an Associate degree.
A Master's degree is a post-graduate degree indicating that you've gone beyond the Bachelor's.
After those, you'd work toward a Doctorate (AKA Ph'D).

In a nutshell, An Associates is a 2 year degree (typically from a community college), Bachelor a 4 year, and Masters' is beyond that- time varies but averages 3 years to get. A Masters can only be sought after completetion of a Bachelors and is considered "graduate degree", so most people don't even worry about that (many don't even get one) until sucessful completeion of a 4 year program. But, if you are looking into a university, your probably looking at a 4 year degree, which is a good way to go. BUT, many people attend a local community college for 2 years (becuase it's cheaper), take all the basic courses that will be required for ANY degree, then move on to a 4 year school to get thier Bachelors. But it really depends on what you want to do as far as work/career. Talk to your school guidance counselor to pinpoint which driection is best for you. but definately do it, you'll be glad you did. good luck.

An Associate degree is a two-year degree, typically offered by a junior college. If you are studying a trade, you can get a job; if it's an academic degree then most courses should transfer to a university. Some people get these to start out b/c junior colleges charge less than universities, and it's the same credit.
Bachelor degrees are four-year degrees offered by universities. These are usually the minimum required for professional positions. When one says "college graduate" it's implied they mean they have a bachelor's.
A Master degree is an advanced two-year degree obtained by people who got their bachelor's first. Examples included MBA, law, or anyone studying to teach at the university level.

Associate is a two year degree
Bachelor is a four year degee
Masters is a Graduate Degree. What this means is that one is (usually) extending their education beyond their Bachelors Degree. Depending on the subject, a Masters degree can mean many different things. But on most occasions, what you will find is that someone specializes in one or two areas within their field.
