It is amazing to see how much bigger football players are today compared to 25 years ago, is there going to be a limit on how big people can grow?

The limit is due to the fact that as you grow bigger your volume increases in three dimensions yet the strength of any given bone that is proportional to the cross section grows in two dimensions. For example, someone who is twice as tall as another yet proportional will weigh 8 times as much yet his muscles will only be four times as strong. An ant can carry many times its weight becuase it is so small yet its muscles are weaker than our pound for pound.

In practicality, there is a limit. The weight of the human body increases rapidly as the body grows larger than average sizes. Extraordinary people who are, say, 9 feet or taller, are so heavy that their bodies have no way to deal with the weight. Most such people have to rely on things like leg braces to keep their leg bones intact. It's not that they are fat. It's just that the added material to make such a tall person weighs a lot. You might not realize how compact and weight conscious the design of your body is until you see a person who has vastly different proportions like that.

Large-scale alterations in our support tissues and body structure would have to be made before we can routinely or safely grow to huge sizes. The football players of today are pushing the limits of what the sciences of nutrition and training can do today, and they were probably larger than average to begin with.

I think the growth is because of all of the steroids that are in our meats and dairy products, and that's what's causing us to grow so large..As far as how much we can grow depends on our genes..I don't think there is really a limit in a limitless world

That is question I never really thought about before, but you are right. I am going to guess there is no limit.
