You have two options:
Remember, the collection slug that is calling you is just a pitbull like mouthpiece for some creditor out there. You need to find the parent company and call the dogs off. You talk to them and send them info showing that the number they are dialing is no longer correct. I had to do this once with a electric company. Only difference is they were civilized. Also, have Sprint help with this. They should be able to show you are not this other person without giving up to much of your account info. If Sprint doesn't want to help then tell them you plan on cancelling service and switching carriers. If Sprint says there will be penalties let them know you will take them to court for giving you a deadbeat's number and not helping you get out of the situation. So, they can lose a paying customer or help out. You need to talk to a Sprint regional manager or higher. They will have a hard time in small claims court arguing that they won't help and still want to hold you to this contract.
Or, you can just tell Sprint to give you a new number at no charge or you will switch companies. Again, threaten to fire them and take them to court if they won't let you out of your contract.

Ask for the name of the person you are speaking with and how you spell their name. Then tell them you are not the person and just got the number. Then ask for the address of the company. Tell them if they do not cease and desist from these call that the next call they get will be from your atty and you will sue not only the company but them personally for the harassment. And also state you will send them the cell phone bill to pay as the calls from them are not free. Then ask them do you understand. Then tell them you are noting the time of the call and placing them on notice to place you on their DO NOT CALL LIST!

You can block the number on your cell. Also, get very assertive with the collector, ask them for their mailing address so you can send them what you owe and then send them a "stop collection" letter. They must stop by law with the written notice. Also, you can report thier illegal activities to the the FTC http://www.ftc.gov/
They will revoke their license to be a collection agency. And if they keep it up get a lawyer and sue them in Federal court for damages due to stress, unwarrented charges to your cell and so forth.

Enter your number in the do not call registry and the Federal lists as well. Note it takes time to block the calls, but should work after a few months. Also for the numbers you do not know I'd just block and/or ignore them. Thanks.

Ask to speak to their supervisor, if they refuse, ask their name and then call the company directly and ask that your number be disassociated with that person. You could see if you can get your phone to block them. If the company persists, maybe you could call the better business bureau and see if they have any suggestions.
