My favorite is erewards.com. You get paid something (maybe only 50 cents) even if you don't qualify for the survey or if it's full already. They don't have gimicks either - like hour long surveys only to find out you have to subscribe to several services you don't want just to finish and get credit for your answers.
There is also mysurvey.com. They have a referal program where you can receive cash for refering real folks ($1.50 each). Drop me an e-mail if you would like me to be your referral, or you can sign up yourself (I'm not in this for my own gain). They don't pay much per survey, but it does add up over time. Usually their surveys are 10 cents to 50 cents to see if you qualify or not, then more if you continue. This firm is also honest and doesn't use your answers to sell your e-mail to other companies.
Another tip - set up a new e-mail account just for surveys so that you don't have to clog up your primary e-mail with junk solicitations. There are lots of survey companies and places like mypoints.com will 'pay you' to read e-mail, but they also contibute to tons of junk mail and I've never gotten a real check from them.

I'm in the same bout you are--I stay at home, so being able to make a little extra income online is nice--even if its not a hugh amount. I usually can get around $20 a month for taking surveys (since I don't spend much time on it, just a few hours a month, that's not bad).
I've listed some of the sites I have taken surveys through and actually been paid (or received other rewards like gift cards or CD'S) on the following site:
http://www.windhavenweb.com/surveys
I list how they pay you, what I like and dislike about them, whether they have an affiliate or referral program, etc. (And yes, if I say they have an affiliate program, I'm part of it, and make a commission when someone signs up through that link...I like to be up front about that).
As you're searching, here are some tips to avoid scams. Don't sign up for any survey site which asks you to pay to access the surveys. Also watch for language like "get paid for taking surveys AND SIGNING UP FOR OFFERS" if you don't want to have to sign up for stuff with other companies to get paid.
Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Avoid sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not aggregated) to third parties (unless you really don't mind getting junk mail, telemarketing calls, and spam).
Also, never sign up for a survey through an unsolicited e-mail--since these might not even be from the site they claim to be, but could be a phishing scheme to get your information and mis-use it.
Here are two other sites which are very helpful
