Open the case and check that the connections are good. If they are you unfortunatly probably need to buy a new one. They are not worth getting fixed as they only cost about $40 give or take. They are really easy to replace.

Punky,

Have you been able to restart? If so, try ejecting the cd-rom while the computer is booting up, it has worked for me before. Otherwise just unfold a paper clip and stick it into the small opening on the cd-rom drive while pressing the eject button.

Someone above mentioned opening your case to "check your connections," I highly recommend that you NOT do this. Unless you are familiar with the inside of a laptop, do NOT open the case. Also, this often will void any warranties that you may have covering your laptop.

Good luck!

Re-start the computer when the computer is starting up press the eject button . if the cd-rom door dont open power off the computer remove the power there is a pin hole under the cd-rom door put a pin in that and push it in the door will open on the cd-rom .. remove the cd dont not push the cd-rom door back in just power back up the computer and the door will close its self

There should be a hole, as mentioned above to poke an unbent paperclip in but have you also tried rebooting? Try a restart and if that doesn't work a hard boot and then go poking around.

Just yesterday a coworker had a cd-r stuck and not showing up and after doing a hard boot, the computer "recognised" that it had a cd in it and was able to eject.
Good luck!

There is usually a little hole you can poke a paper clip or something through to pop a CD out on a normal CD rom, see if your laptop has one.
