where do I go and what do I do to get this thing up and running to support me comfortably? I've invested $4,000 on the equipment.

What is it you want to do? Do you want to wash cars for dealerships then you need to contact them. If you want to start up a business you need to get your business licenses which you would get from your local government. Once this is done advertise your services in the phone book or on the side of your car. Depending on what you want to pressure wash you need to go around to the places you want to do work for and drum up business. Also you probably will need some type of insurance in case something happens.
