Keep dreaming. Bush will never be impeached. My prayers go out to you , your family and most of all your son. I disagree with you on Bush, but thats what makes America great. I disagree with you, but have much respect for you.

To answer your first question: never. First, the President has to commit a crime...you know, like lying under oath? And since he has not committed a crime, he is not eligible for impeachment.
To answer your second question: no. I, too, have a son in the military, and he's been to Iraq twice. I'm a veteran of Desert Storm myself, so I'm the last person you have to tell about what war is like.
As for the President not listening to Congress, would this be the same congress that voted FOR the invasion of Iraq at the very beginning? Or would this be the still-wet-behind-the-ears Congress that we have now? Do you really think that Bush got us involved in Iraq all on his own without approval from anyone? Puh-leeeze! When Bush first suggested the invasion four years ago, everyone - and I mean EVERYONE - was singing his praises because we ALL wanted to go and kick some more Muslim butt! But then, all of a sudden, people started getting killed - OUR people - and then reality sets in.
What did you think - that US troops were NOT going to get killed? How's the weather on YOUR planet?
Now that the fight has turned tough, the rats are leaving the ship by the droves. Everyone who was FOR the war now sees their political careers in danger, so now all of a sudden - ala Billary Clinton and John "I have three Purple Hearts" Kerry - everyone is suddenly against it. Wonder why that is?
I don't blame you fearing for your son's life; God knows my father feared for mine, and I feared for my son's...but it ain't Bush's fault, and he isn't doing it "for the power." And as sad as it is, the plain truth is that there is NO simple solution to the problem. We're just gonna have to tough it out.

None of your complaints against the President rise to the level of an impeachable offense. If you have any evidence that Bush has committed a crime that does, inform the Justice Department, so they can start the House proceedings needed to begin a Senate trial. Then, do not be in the least amazed if the Republicans vote against impeachment, just like the democrats goose stepped in unison to acquit Slick Willie when he was impeached for largely partisan reasons.

No, I don't feel the same way. I have a son in the Army as well and he just got home after two years in Iraq, and his attitude and th others he was with in both Divisions feel what they are doing is right. He tells me he can't figure out why the American let is so bent of getting out when the job isn't finished and really thinks that opur society has become a "fast food" one, a "quick fix" one! He said that they have forgotten that in one 30 day battle for Iwo Jiima we lost 7,000 Marines, or that it took the rebuilding of Germany and Japan 7 years, and that WWII lasted almost 6 years, and that Illegal Immigrants kill twice as many Americans than what we have lost in Iraq in 4 years. I agree with him!

wingshoot- silly your using common sense and facts. You should know by now those have no place when talking to a Bush hater. They are bound and determined to make him look bad even if it means doing what is not right for the US. The question said Bush likes the power, in the contrary I feel that the lust to gain power by Bush's political enemies is what will cause the most problems for this country.

too bad for your son. Why the hell did he join the military anyway. After he signed that document, he gave the president the right to give him orders (even for the wrong reasons). So how is this the president's fault?
Don't take this the wrong way. I say the president needs to be impeached! Especially for violating American's 4th amendments rights with the NSA spying scandal.

What, in your list of grievances, actually is an impeachable charge?
Why should he listen to Congress & the people if they're wrong?
And aren't you going a bit overboard in your judgement of what you suppose are his motivations and beliefs?

I support Bush, the war effort, and soldiers like your son. Some would say people like me do more than people like you do.
Congress can initiate proceedings any time it wants.
I hope it does not.
I think people need to get serious and face the threat.
If we hadn't been so divided at home, I think we would probably be done there already.
