Is there any way to upgrade to mac 10.3 without buying the cd. I have looked and they are 100 bucks! I would prefer not to buy it. Please help!!!!

No....you can update within the same version of operating system through updates, but in order to upgrade to a newer OS, you have to buy the OS copy and license. I wouldn't think you could even get a copy of 10.3 anymore. If your system meets configuration requirements, go ahead and upgrade to 10.4 while you are at it. This version is tried and true.....10.5 is due out in the spring.

Look on ebay. Since 10.4 is out and 10.5 is around the corner, you can get 10.3 very very cheap on ebay. Just be aware that the cd's sold are specific to hardware.

You are in the same boat as all of the idiots lining up to buy copies of windows vista - just so they can brag to their friends that they have it.

First of all, you made a big mistake when buying a Mac. Sell it and buy a PC.
