my husband and I started chatting in a room, then added each other to messenger.....met for coffee 3 months later....and have been married for over 2 years

On May 18, 1995, I got a "private message from jt94as@brocku.ca from daemon@brocku.ca" come up on my screen while I was chatting on the IRC (a pre-cursor to today's web-based chat rooms).
Turns out this girl has just been set up with her first email account and was learning all the stuff you could do, like pull up a list of all local users on the server.
She did that and executed the "talk" command on the person at the top of the list, bs94al@brocku.ca
I responded. The rest is history.
Wow we actually met 2 days after that conversation. We were dating practically right away. I married her 4 years later.

My husband and I met through the online personals. Dated for 3 months before moving in together, got engaged a year later, and married within 4 months of the engagement (last September).

i did.. we met online well me imed me cause i was on a los angeles chat .. defending yankees.. turns out he was a yank fan too.. we met about a week later although he kept asking after day 2 and we went out and talked all night.. till sunrise .. saw it on the beach.. 2 weeks later he said " i love you" of course i ignored it lol but i loved him already too.. and 3 months later engaged and living together and married 7 months after meeting.. and i would not change it for anything .. were now expecting.. twins.. and married for 3 .. I did not meet my husband online but i did on a phone dateline:) It really does not matter how we meet them it is what we do when we do and how it grows and develops and works out. I am so glad I met my husband and i would not trade him for anyone!
