Why did someone think she was British?
Can I point out that we, the British invented the English language for use between Englishmen and the Americans use an incorrect version of our language. Just thought I would clear that up people.
To answer you question, Americans are corrupted by movies and things of great mystery. These usually contradict actual history and are manipulated to reflect an American achievement that unbeknown to them didn't happen.
Now this does not apply to all but it does apply to the Americans that you often hear about or see on TV. These are the idiots that give a untrue reflection of a nation.
The funniest thing I have ever heard was an American ask an Englishman whether the still all drank tea in England with there pinky sticking out using phrases like "pip pip ol' chap" and "tally ho". Now thats an American idiot if ever there was.
Basically all Americans are jealous because they wish they were still under the rule of Britain because as we all know
Rule Britannia
( my American style big headedness. lol )

I wonder, have you ever been to the U.S.? Have you ever taken time to talk to more than one American? Yes, I know, the education in the US is pretty inward looking and we know that is BAD. But just because you've talked to one stupid American, or heard about twenty stupid Americans, or saw 500 stupid Americans in movies, we're not all like that! Please, plleeaassee do not generalize all Americans because you've met a couple idiots in your life! There are idiots everywhere, and seeing as America is a lot bigger than most countries (you're from the Britain I'm guessing, eh? Well have you considered that G.B. is about the size, or smaller, than Florida?) there tends to be a bit more idiots. Not all Americans go on shows like 'Date My Mom' or 'Room Raiders.' Once again, those people, are the ones that have the IQ of a grapefruit. Not all Americans are grapefruits. Oh yeah, and we do not hail Bush and crawl to his feet. And half of the American population hates him. I have to put up with that prejudice too. Just because I like Bush, they think that everyone in America likes Bush. Please have your say on this. I want to hear it:

There's more stupidity in this country than you think.
Personally, I don't think we are "the best" anymore, especially after all the changes I've witnessed in the past 30 years.
We've lost our common sense in so many areas, it would take too long to point out the faults and make determinations as to the whys.
As far as the war, as much as I don't like it, it was Bin Laden that declared it on the West, and on Christians, and they so obviously will never stop.

You clearly confuse the President of America with the American people. America is not George Bush. America is not its government.
English may not be your first language, but there is a spell checking tool at your fingertips, do feel free to use it.

American people<>the american politicians , are 2 different things. THe US Gov thinks it can do anything becuz it has a long history of bullying other countries and the like. The corrupt United Nations dont wanna do nothing because the states hold to much power and are good to have on their side. Lets face it if he wanted to Bush could nuke everysingle country if he had the brains to do it.

I had a friend visiting from Hungary - and we went to one of the tall towers in Chicago. On the way up in the elevator, we were treated to a recording of statistics about how it was the "tallest, fastest, etc". She was amused by it all and stated that 'only in the US' do they blow their own horn about how great they are. Patriotism and loyalty to one's country is fantastic...but often, it can be taken too far. Particularly if the citizens feel the desperate need to proclaim that they are 'the best'. It isn't a contest. No one needs to win.

We ARE the best in terms of per capita economic performance and wealth. Have been for decades.
The question is why do countries who consistently perform much worse than the US and constantly ask us for aid stubbornly persist in thinking that their socialist economic policies are better than our free market policies? It's like arguing that the way the Kansas City Royals do things is better than the way the Oakland As do things.

Why do you think America isnt the best? Why do you think so many foreigners try to come here from so many different countries?..... because it's far better than where they are from, nitwit.
The only thing idiotic here are your senseless anti-USA ramblings.

Is it idiotic that amounts of funds we send to countries that are hit hard by a natural disaster? We are the first in line to help.
But other than that.....anything that makes us look idiotic is our leader. Don't blame everyone for that either. Not everyone voted for him.
