Battery could be old, sounds exactly like an old battery actually. Runs one day then supplies only enough power for the ACC the next. If it jumps and runs fine until you turn it off and try and start it again, its an old battery.

Your battery might be too low to start the engine. Sometimes they drain out and small electrical stuff like the radio will still run. You might check the battery terminals and make sure they are clean and making good contact. (wear eye protection!) Once you clean out the terminals then try starting it, if you don't get anything different then try "jumping it" or "boosting it." Good luck!

The first thing you should check is your battery if it is in good working then check your starter and connections to it. A good self test of the battery if you don't have equipment is turn head lights on and see how bright they are if dim get a known good battery and start over.good luck and safe driving when you get going.

If you turn your ignition switch and only the radio comes on, then it could be a number of things. If you can hear the motor turning over then it could be one of the following; alternator wearing down (not creating enough spark), your plugs and wires are worn (possibly cracked or fried), out of gas(check fuel gage), starter went out, ignition switch, neutral safety switch went out(it has different ways of going out on different cars), bad gas(water in gas), clogged fuel filter, or operator error(it happens sometimes)

Have you had you battery checked recently? If older than 3 years, it maybe time to replace it. Also the alternator may need checking as it may not be charging the battery fully.

It's more than likely-- the alternator, or the ignition switch. The fact that you have power to the radio tells us that the battery has some power.
