1) Because no one really knows who we are. If we had to sit face-to-face with the person asking the question we probably wouldn't give such smartass answers.
2) Because it's fun.
3) Because some of these questions can only be responded to with a smartass answer (like the lady who says she was married 6 times and cheated on 5 husbands and wants to know why no one wants to marry her now).

Because the answers aren't screened or censored (with the exception for profanity). Sometimes the questions are pointless, not asked properly, or are too vague.
I keep seeing questions like this: "What's the name of the song that was playing in the car that was driving next to me on the freeway? I'm not sure about the lyrics, the genre, if the singer was male or female, or it I imagined the whole thing, but I really liked it though. Does anyone out there know the name of it???Thanx! :)
