First off have you tried right clicking the cd drive in My computer and exploring the disc. sometimes autorun goes wonky and won't play until you left click the disc.
However if this is a double sided disc (a dual disc) with music on one side and video on the other then that will be the problem. most cd roms won't be able to read it while stand alone players can. There is no way round it if this is .
Or....it could be a single sided mixed mode disc but the comp is having problems reading the files. I had this once before but managed to use a cd ripper to read the files and rip to the computer. try EAC. It has had some good reports and supposedly can read anything and rip it. I mean it is your cd so you do have the right to back it up.

It is free to download and the registration is cardware.........You send a nice postcard from your hometown to the owner and you are registered (nice touch)
There have been quite a few complaints about these types of cds on the net. I think it is a way to try to stop piracy. Try to rip it using a newish drive in a computer. You might be successful.
Good luck.

previous poster is right; those games are DVD format and you have a CD drive. That's the only thing that could be wrong...the issue you are explaining isn't because of an Autorun malfunction cause your drive still reads some disks automatically.

The cd drive lens may need cleaning, buy a good quality cd lens cleaner disk, once you have cleaned the lens, try again
