The Bratz doll line was released on the public in 2001 by toy company M.G.A. The man credited with "inventing" the Bratz doll is Carter Bryant, an M.G.A. employee. Bryant is an ex-employee of Mattel (makers of Barbie), where he worked as a doll designer.
