Well...I suppose that's where the male 'ego' comes into the picture, as guys simply want to show that they can perform in bed. Furthermore, sex leads to intimacy, which is something that all guys desire as fact of the matter is, guys simply hate to be alone. Therefore, you can say that guys are just big babies in general as we inadvertantly long for that tenderness, soft reassuarance & acceptance by the girl that us guys find attractive & interesting.

I think men and women are both wired equally for sex. the difference is that in our society a man that has sex often with multiple woman is looked upon favorably, whereas a woman that has sex often with multiple men is looked down upon.
This causes the men to brag freely of their exploits, while the women do not kiss and tell.

A lot of it has to do with social conditioning and other influences. Men have been "trained" to be more predatorial and aggressive sexually. That's the way it's always been. Also, men in general are more sexually aroused by external stimulants (ie, images, etc.), whereas women are more stimulated by the emotional aspects of sexuality.
