"The Good Shepherd" was pretty good. Also "The Departed" was amazing. And I loved "The Pursuit of Happyness". You're right...good movies are hard to come by anymore.

Pan's Laberint - Guillermo del Toro,
This is a great movie, all kind of people could like it, this is a great drama, a mixture of violence with fantasy, love with the pursuit of justice, the kid's world and the real and cruel world.
You should try this movie. I enjoyed it a lot.

I would have to say the new Rocky movie. I thought it was going to be cheesy like like 2, but I was pleasantly surprised. There was an emotional baggage that was missing for a while now.

Are you kidding? The Departed, by far one of the best out in the last few months!

Stranger Than Fiction
And no, they don't make movies like they used to, but this one was really good.

Pursuit of Happiness I loved it. I am very inspired by it. Blood Diamonds was very moving, scary and infuriating.
Sometimes you have to catch the indie films for the good stuff.
