Who or what told you to update it? And by 6.0 explore, I'm assuming you mean Internet Explorer 6 as opposed to Internet Explorer 7. If you downloaded and installed IE7, you may have had some trouble getting to some websites. You can uninstall IE7 and it will revert back to IE6, by clicking on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and the Show Updates box at the top. When the list loads, find Internet Explorer 7 and click Yes to remove it. After removal, close Control Panel and restart the computer for the change to take effect.

Embarq is your web site?
Embarq is an ISP, so maybe you mean that's where a web site is hosted.

IE 7 is not fully compliant with current HTML and XML rules, and Microsoft does lots of things their own ways. Pages written for Explorer may not behave well with other Browsers, like Firefox.

IE6 is a bit better supported because it doesn't take advantage of all of Microsoft's new features.

Using IE 6 will give you a better experience on the web.

If you already installed IE 7, and didn't uninstall 6, you might get away with uninstalling IE 7. Before you do that, try downloading a copy of Firefox before uninstalling, so if you lose IE, you still have Firefox to surf the web and find a copy of IE 6.

The following post proposed that simply uninstalling IE 7 would roll you back to 6.
