I don;t think this really matters, as long as you make the thank you letter be the body of the e-mail itself and print it before you actually send it, to see how it looks on plain paper.

It's good that you have kept this in mind, sending a thank you letter. Companies really appreciate candidates who tent to respect some decency rules. As for the e-mail / snail mail, It doesn't really matter, as I told you.
Good luck!

Definitely send an email first. Snail mail is still appropriate...yet for obvious reasons takes longer to get there. With the many other candidates you may be competing against...email will work most efficiently and most people rely on email as their preferred form of communication. Just be sure whichever way you go...put together a great thank you note stressing why you are the best person for the job and why you are a fit/confident you can do a great job for the company.

These days email is acceptable but snail mail is more impressive. I don't think it's a deal breaker either way. Just send one.

Snail mail. That shows that you went to the trouble of handwriting a note, putting a stamp on it, and mailing it. It makes a much better impression.

Why not do both make the email short and sweet and the snail mail a litte more personal. Good Luck.

Going for jobs is a competitive business so speed and efficiency is important - I would go with the e-mail, it's more accepted in the business world. Hope you get the job :)

I always send both because some are stuck in the old time views and others appreciate technology. Sending both could make them think you are well rounded.
