Among pure metals, the ONLY magnetic ones are iron, cobalt, and nickel. Iron is much the strongest of the three.
Alloys are quite a different story. The strongest magnets are made of an iron/boron/neodymium alloy. The alloy still has more than 80 per cent iron, but it is dozens of times more magnetic than pure iron.
