Yes, Passions is being canceled. They are cutting it out in order to exspand the Today Show. I just cannot believe it though... Come on, really, who watches all 3 hrs of the Today Show as it is... I'm just so mad.

Passions is being cancelled so that NBC can expand the Today Show to 4 hours. If they want to be a news station, they should just do so. They've already cut out Saturday a.m. cartoons so people can watch the Saturday Today Show. If Heroes didn't come on NBC, I'd probably never watch them again. And I'm not even a Passions fan, but lots of people are.
