Choosing the right makeup for you has everything to do with your age, skin type, and complexion. And while the choices can be daunting, there are a few simple guidelines you can follow.

* Teen: The best teen look is fresh, pretty, and clean. Pinpoint your best feature—your skin, lips, or eyes—and use makeup to emphasize it. The rule of thumb for teens is that you should stand out, not your makeup.
* African American: Darker skin has many complex undertones. That’s why you should get to know your skin and its specific undertones and choose shades that complement your natural color.
* Asian: Yellow-based foundations and powders work especially well for Asian skin. Avoid pink-based foundations and powders to prevent a harsh, unnatural look.
* Hispanic: Wear shades that enhance your natural, striking dark tones. Avoid bright shades that may clash with your coloring.
* Mature: While many women tend to wear more makeup as they get older, that strategy can backfire. Simplifying your makeup and coordinating with your natural tones will give you a healthier, younger appearance.

Try different browns, especially chocolate tones. Browns and dark greens with copper or gold highlights are also a great choice.

Apricots and taupes are good choices for highlighters.

Dark purples, plums and metallics work too. Coppers and golds will make a really glamorous evening look for makeup tips for green eyes. I personally really like the way deep purples look with dark green eyes.

Colors To Avoid

When you're learning makeup tips for green eyes, it also helps to know what colors you might want to avoid.

First up, blues. Any color of blue doesn't do green eyes justice. I would recommend avoiding light blues, dark blues and even some colors (purples or pinks) with blue undertones.

Pinks are also a hard color to judge. Some can look really, really good and others can look really, really bad. This is usually a matter of trial and error.

Silvers are not a good choice either. Leave them for the blue eyes

Another consideration is your blush. Although it is not really eye make up, the blush you put onto your checks still relates to the color of eyes that you have. So does the lipstick that you select. For blush, look at the color of your sink first. Realize what color it will take to create the look you want. A darker compaction obviously needs a darker color, but not overly. Here, add a deeper peach color to your checks to make your eye shadow. As for the lipstick, consider a deeper, darker peach. Even a brownish peach will be ideal for your green eyes

My appearance is pretty much the same as yours. For eyeshadow you can get away with shades of brown, especially rich and copper shades, they really make the color pop. Pink also looks pretty in the crease. If you want your lips to look bigger then I would suggest using a lip plumping gloss. A lot of brands carry glosses that would do that. I have heard that the brand "Two-Faced" has some good products out as well as "Lip Fusion." You can get those products at Sephora or Ulta. Hope this helps!

Im pretty much the same - try using purple. Purple makes the green in your eyes stand out really well, its the color I use like 95% of the time. Lipgloss, well it depends I use lip plumpers but I dont know if they work very well on small lips - I just use them for the little bit they do and its more than enough. You can try using a matching color to your lips in a lip liner to enhance the outline slightly and then use a shiny or shimmery gloss to make them look bigger - or just puut an icecube on your lips, or bite them, before you go out.

Experience with different colors and see what you like. I have bluish/greenish eyes brown hair and light. I like all colors my favorites to wear are green even though purples bring out the green in my eyes. I even wear yellow eyeshadow mixed with greens and browns. I'm also 23 so while Im young its fun to experiment. I know reds do not look good on me. Its too hard to find a nice red lipstick plus I love pink and I think pink looks good on EVERYONE.

I suggest natural shades. A bit of shimmer/ shine (yes gloss) for your lips. Maybe browns with a touch of auburn in them for your eyes. But keep it simple, in my humble opinion that always looks best.

Darker brown. my pores and skin and hair is like yours yet my eyes are greyish blue.. organic essences has like hair shades that you may attempt for awhile yet then it is going to bathe out after like 5 washes.. so i might want to attempt that, yet darker brown or a chesnut colour might want to be spectacular.
