I was given an wedding dvd to make a copy of. I have the sonic program that I use to make exact copies. But when I try to copy this disk it tells me the format does not match to the blank disk i put in..
When i open up the dvd, there are .TS files in there. Does anyone know how I can copy this.
The disk I was given has no markings on it, but from the purpulish color of the disk side, not lable, it matches the color of my blank dvd, so i assume it is a dvd and not a vcd.
if you need anymore info just ask.

you can always create a "disk image" of the dvd and save to your hard drive. I dont remember what i have used in the [ast for this, but if you search you can find it. Then ... use nero or another dvd burning software and "burn a disc image."

Can you take this dvd, and stick it in your stand alone dvd
player, and play it?

Yes-- maybe drag it off the dvd, and put on the PC, and see if you can copy it then, as long as its not to large of a file,
it wouldn,t happen to be a dual-layer disk?

No--- maybe the disk is not finalized, or a different format.
I know my friend with one of those Sony dvd cameras,
has to do a few steps at the end to make the disks playable.
