Yes because Jennifer has made her way up to the top doing several things such as....she started off as a dancer for a comedy show, then she met a couple of people, mingled with P-Diddy for a while which got her some exposure and now she is into clothing, perfume, movies and singing so Yes she still would be famous but the role in Selena did help her acting career...

I'm not sure about that, BUT I do know it would have taken a whole lot longer for her to have been discovered, and maybe Selena was just a boost and all, after all she doesn't JUST act (which she needs to work on because it isn't so great) she's a business woman, whicch puts her at a bit of an advantage.
Oh and I don't think Selena's death made her famous at all, the fact that she PLAYED Selena was the thing that got her recognition.

If she lived, there wouldn't have been a movie about her for Jennifer Lopez to play her role lol.

Yes. they both have/ had different types talent and differnent fan bases. Jen is more pop/r&b and Selena defined herself as Tejano. Jen is a sex symbol/ diva and Selena was the "good girl" type who cared about music and creativity more than the glitz and glamour. I dont think there would be any competition between them.

That movie really set her career into motion.If she had not been in that movie, I don't think she ever would have been famous and she would probably still be married to her first husband, the waiter.

Of, course she would! I'm no fan of hers, but others like her work. I, think she dances better than she sings....this is JMO....have a lovely day.

I don't think so, that movie really set her career off....It's also the movie that made her think she could sing :)
