Creative Writing, what do you thing?

Question

I am assigned a creative writing. We are too find a picture and be descriptive about it. I found a picture on google with children praying desperately. I thought i write something about prayer, but i missed the idea of describing the picture. Can someone help me with a creative story i can add upon my writing? e.g; what are they praying for? during what time? Anything creative.

PS. If there is any other suggestions for pictures, im up too it also. What other pix can i describe other than prayer? Why do you think i should write about that pic? What is your creative idea?

The picture included poor clothing children who are very summed up in the picture. There is hardly background. After reading some ideas, i think i would write about war has terrified the kids so they are earnestly praying. What creative ideas do u think i can add upon the war? The aftermath? What are some war effect on kids? (except poverty and starvation and loss of family)

War? Innocent children trapped in a living Hell thanks to the selfishness of those adults that control the world.
A terrible tragedy of those that get caught in the crossfire, in the human incapacity to understand each other.

I'm not sure what you are asking so I went to google and chose this picture. The first thing I think is what is the photographer trying to tell me? I see what looks like a classroom full of children praying. The child on the lower right appears to be at peace with his prayer. However the child is the lower right has a furrowed brow. The girl behind the furrowed brow is dressed in white and in perfect prayer position. Note that her tie and shoulder ruffles give an appearance of wings. Thus she seems angelic. The boy next to her almost seems to be praying aloud. And the child behind him seems to repeat the pattern of the peaceful prayer. Does the photographer, perhaps, believe there are four types of prayer? Oddly enough, this picture accompanies an article which professes there are 15 reasons for praying. The photographer has visually captured four of them.

What else is in the picture? Are they inside the house, dressed in their pj's at bedtime, saying their nightly prayers? Or are they seated at a table, saying grace? Or are they outside in a poverty stricken or war-stricken neighborhood? Black and white? Bright colors, calm colors? Present day, or old-fashioned? It's difficult to give ideas when we don't know what the picture looks like and what it might be portraying.

You want a picture that stimulates your mind...that actually tells YOU a story that you can relate to others. It has to be something that inspires you to make up something interesting. It can be happy, sad, funny, exciting. They just start writing down ideas from what you see in the story.

Is there a tornado coming and they're hoping it doesn't hit their house? Did they just get a call that their grandma was rushed to the hospital and they're hoping she is ok? Are they giving thanks for a new job their dad got? Do they want their parents to buy them a puppy, so they're praying that they get their wish?

I'm assuming she wants you to write a story surrounding the picture... for example

My mother has always told me that the harder you scrunch your face, the sooner God grants your prayer. I'd never had any reason to doubt her or to test her until last Saturday....

then you tell what happened, why she so desperately needs God's attention and somewhere in there add the other kids who are praying maybe like this...

just in case, I don't scrunch hard enough, I asked all of my friends to scrunch and pray with me. That many kids scrunching together in one spot is hard to ignore...

Make up a story about the people in the picture. Describe their desperate situation using clues in the picture to back up your story. Why are they praying?
