I'm not really informed when it comes to astrology, so I was wondering if anyone would be able to sort of fill me in on a bit of info regarding scorpios.. Some of the characteristics, who are they compatible with and such, any info would be greatly appreciated :)

I guess I can give some information about the Scorpios.
I am a Taurus and most of my friends are Scorpios. We get along well, we are totally agreed about a situation or we totally disagree but we are never indifferent to each other's opinion.
The Scorpio is loyal, understanding, great adviser, very intelligent, deep into his/her feelings, passionate and always play fare game. Also he/she is honest and respectful to different opinion. But to step over the Scorpio tail or cross his/her way is a serious mistake you would probably not have another chance to correct, if you have done that purposely and against the Scorpio. Hurting the Scorpio means you cause deep suffering that would turn into his/her revenge when never expected. They remember the feeling and would make you feel exactly in the way they felt when you hurt them. Accidentally annoying the Scorpio but when you do not mean that and you just do that without any purpose (a case often happens with me), the Scorpio reaction is fast and momentous stinging comment in return. Because the Scorpio is very intuitive, they notice when there is something wrong but they might act they didn't notice. So whenever I feel a little moody from their stinging comments they notice somehow and analyze the situation without saying a word and later find a way to be nice, understanding and provide best advices in a meaning of they didn't have the intention to make their friends moody and of course I love them again. When the Scorpio make sure you are alright, start to bite again, then they are nice again and it is a little bit repeatable but always different in the nuances. Do not expect the Scorpio to say sorry, they are fare in their action, though sometimes are wrong, but they won't apologize or explain about their reaction. Instead they would prefer to help you with advice or to make you laugh about something, just showing you in this way that they consider they have been wrong and they cover the track.
When being a friend with a Scorpio you have to learn to understand them and their reactions. Because the Taurus and the Scorpio are opposite signs in the horoscope they are different but they still have things in common, for example sometimes they want the same things (respect, understanding, loyalty) just they use very difference ways to obtain that.
If you are Scorpio for friends you can find a good friendship with a Taurus but not for relationship, if you look for relationship compatibility, the best match would be Cancer, Pisces or maybe Capricorn.

Controlling and jealous; especially if the scorpio is a man. Usually scorpio is always trying to control those close around him, sometimes directly, or sometimes from behind the scenes.
They have a lot of energy. They are very meticulous about their cars, tidy-ness of the house, and sometimes their clothes. I'm a cancer. We cancers are supposed to be compatible with scorpios. But I've found that, while I like scorpios for friends, I dont get along with them in a love relationship. That's is because I don't feel comfortable being bossed or controlled. They can be giving, loving, self discliplined, self controlled, and sometimes controlling of others.

they can be very religious and pious or the complete reverse....the best and the worst are found in this sign....they can soar as the mighty eagle or be a slimy lizard sort...both these symbols are used for scorpions as well...they are very intense, quiet, slow to warm up to people, and very passionate about evrything! they can wait silently for years to take revenge!
they are one of the trinity of water signs,so they are most compatible with the other two water signs,namely cancer and pisces....

Let's see scorpio's are loyal, jealous, revengeful, secretive, sexual. They usually love mysteries and would make great private investigators. They're compatible with: picies and cancer and not compatible with Gemini's. Gemini's suck anyways! LOL
