Technically it's free, but it's usually expected that you will buy at least one of the products they are using on you.
And yes, most of the time they are really nice and do a great job.

They are not in the business of doing complete makeups for free. If you need makeup done you should go to a salon makeup artist and expect to pay about $30.

i dont remember it ever being free, i've always paid $40 for it. youre not obligated to buy anything but i usually end up buying one of the things she used because it looks so nice!

You are not obligated to buy anything.But after they are done you will feel like you want to buy it all.Mac has really pretty cosmetics i personally love it all very good quality.i have been using these products for years i highly recommend.
