Yes they do under Section IV if the NPT!
"Article IV
1. Nothing in this Treaty shall be interpreted as affecting the inalienable right of all the Parties to the Treaty to develop research, production and use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes without discrimination and in conformity with Articles I and II of this Treaty.
2. All the Parties to the Treaty undertake to facilitate, and have the right to participate in, the fullest possible exchange of equipment, materials and scientific and technological information for the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. Parties to the Treaty in a position to do so shall also co-operate in contributing alone or together with other States or international organizations to the further development of the applications of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, especially in the territories of non-nuclear-weapon States Party to the Treaty, with due consideration for the needs of the developing areas of the world." NPT
In order to run a power plant YOU MUST enrich uranium to at least 5%! Iran possess no 98% uranium required for a nuclear device. When last inspected they had a little 3% uranium!

Nobody's fooled. They want a nuclear bomb just like Pakistan and India. Iran wants to be a big player in the Persian Gulf and a nuclear bomb is just the ticket. Funny, Iran is closer to having a nuclear weapon than Iraq ever was, but the purported reason we went to war with Iraq is because of a potential nuclear threat. The only thing Iran has going for it is that it doesn't have Saddam Hussein as a leader. That's something but not enough. If Iran was only interested in nuclear energy, not nuclear weaponry, it would have accepted offers of regulation by outside sources. This Iran refused to do. There is no "international right" to arm with atomic weapons. There is too much at stake.

Because they are a country that said they want to wipe Israel off the map...People are bitching that Iran should be able to create nuclear energy. They gaurd they're "project" with armed militray personell...Are people this stupid anymore...What good happens in the middle east? Suicide bomings? Terriorist organizations? Leaders killing their own people? What do people not understand? All the countries in the middle east are dangerous countries...They should not be givin the chance to make any kind of nuclear weapons. Its time for people to stop complainin and open their eyes...If they make a nuclear weapon, and they decide to invade Iraq, or Israel, what will happen...Israel will have no choice but to Nuke Iran, and Iran Will nuke them back...the world Will fall into a world war. The world is in a fragile state right now...some people are to stupid to relize this. If Israel is attacked who is going to be there...The U.S....If the U.S. is involved the guess who else is? Great Britian....We are a team and its times that the good stands up against the evil...before the evil gets the same advantage we have...intimidation. Yeah, they should have those rights. They only want Iran to stop enrichment because if they are building an atom bomb, they can't be allowed to have it. And when they make comments about wiping Israel off the map, well, I think Iran has a right to be suspect. Also if you consider they practically float on oil, one has to wonder why they need nuclear power?

Well, they have already SAID they want to nuke Israel and The U.S.
I know most liberals think we should "Wait And See" if they REALLY are going to nuke us.
They have the "right" to use nuclear development for medicine and power. But, they want plutonium for making nuclear weapons.

Are you comfortable with their not developing nuclear weapons and
not providing nukes to anyone who would drop one on the USA ?
I am not comfortable with this so I want Iran to stop enrichment.

I like having America,just like it is, thank You! With them having Nuclear Power. there's no City, would be safe. If you want them to have Nuclear Power. You don't plan on being alive, much longer.

Yes, so let them use something that cannot kill thousands of people.
There are many technologies that cannot be used as weapons. They can have any technology, just not that one.
We should keep the amount of countries with nuclear technology as low as possible.

They should not.Israel has declared that it has nuclear weapons so Iran has the right to own them too.
