why dont they volunteer! Local hospitals, libraries, Nursing homes. cleaning up parks. Volunteering is required for peple to graduate from high or secondary schools. but that dosent matter, volunteering is not only fun and simple. it gives people a sense of responsibility and what they can do to help their community

There are some awesome national parks in Canada, and if you just want a neat way to spend an afternoon you could ride a ferryboat. They're cool, and when you stand on the deck sometimes the wind is so strong you can lean into it and it can hold you up.

There are a lot of great gov't programs and camps for teens in the summer, as well as job placements so that you can make some money! Check out the gov't website, and have some fun!

Learn to fish, hunt, and become one with nature. See the beauty that God has put on this earth before it is completely gone. That is, unless you are in the city, then you just get to know the character of the city and make it more a cultural experience.

Uh.....last summer, I went to the beach, I played tennis, biked, gardened, went to the local farm and went to the library. I also went downtown and hung around there and ate a lot of sushi. It depends where you are in Canada. In Toronto, there's a lot to do and places to go. You just have to set your mind to it.

be a kid have some fun! or get a summer job like at a riding stables or camp. something fun and proftable!

It depends on where you live and how responsible your child is. If they are very responsible, then yes I would let them go.
