I see a lot of Griping about both liberals, conservatives, Democrats, Republicans and I am curious, SInce both sides seem to complain so much about the other side. How many of you that are of voting age have actually voted in every election that you have been eligible to vote in? and I am not just talking Presidential, but off year, state, local etc. Be Honest. I am almost 45 and have only missed 1 opportunity to vote. So I have a right to voice my opinion, and in my opinion if you do not exercise your right to vote, you forfeit your right to complain about the system. So lets see the numbers of you and who has the courage to be honest!!!

I am a registered Democrat, usually vote for Republican or Libertarian. My ideology is predominately libertarian and constitutionalist. I have voted every single time since I was 18, although most were by absentee ballot, due to being in the military for over 15 years. I am 40 and I have stickers all over my truck in celebration of the right to vote and stating that everybody should educate themselves then carry their lazy butts out to the polls. I even take my 3 boys with me!

In all honesty I actually have voted in very few. Why? because i did not like each and every of the applicants. I continuously wanted there turned right into a container for "not one of the above" so as that they could get it by way of their heads that many don't like the options they are giving us to %. from. i do not evaluate it a lot of a call at the same time as i'm determining on between the worst of pre-chosen evils. notwithstanding, I actually have come round now, on the grounds that i have felt passionately about some matters and honestly were given accessible and tried to do some thing and threw a wrench into some properly laid out plans. For the first time i in my opinion felt my vote did count number and that i trust that revelation has come to many this election. everybody is uninterested and now more advantageous than ever our voices want to be heard.

Democrat and I vote in each and every election (including primaries)...on all levels, i.e. local, state, senate races, etc. I can only recall one election I missed and that was about two years ago. It was a mid-term election and only a few local judges were on the ballot. I completely forgot about it. Other than that, I've voted in every election since November 1987. I had just turned 18 and was eligible.

Too many people fought and died for my right to vote. I just can't dismiss it!

I have missed one local election since I became of age to vote. I was away at college and missed the absentee ballot deadline. Totally my fault. I have voted in every election since - even primaries. I live in VA so every year is an election year. Our forefathers fought and died for me to have the right to vote, so I'm going to use it. I take my children with me to vote. My grandmother took me with her to vote. It's our civic duty to vote. Out of respect for the revolutionaries who died for our freedom, we need to vote.

However, I now have issues with the electoral system. A great idea in its prime, but now I feel that is is antiquated and technology no longer requires it.

I'm a 5th generation Democrat. However, I have voted for a Republican. I don't vote on a single issue, but rather on which candidate shares my view on the majority of the issues and which candidate I feel will best protect my interests. 99.9% of the time, this is the Democratic candidate. I do weigh the options and I wish others would do the same.

I have never missed an election. I'm 41 and been registered since I was 18. I was raised in a very political family and the importance of voting was taught by example when I was growing up.

I don't vote in primaries too often. I think they are a waste of time. They should decide who they want to run in November and be done with it. Too much campaigning! But I believe I've voted in every November election since I was of age. I'm a Republican.
