Help...Q! RE: files automatically deleted when shutting down PC.?
hi,
how do i set-up my pc so that:
1)when i start up my pc in the morning only the files and programs i have chosen are loaded
2) only the files and programs i have chosen remain saved on my pc when i shut it down at the end of the day and any other data saved during the day is automatically deleted?

all help is appreciated.

Additional Details

i know it can be done becos i got the idea from using internet cafes and public access work stations in the past... some of which delete files (to keep hard drive from filling up) at the end of the day but some files/programs are retained for the next day. once i learnt about this the hard way...in one of these places i saved my work logged off in a hurry only to come back the next day and find that it had all been deleted.
by the way my question is in reference to permanent memory in the hard disk like the 'c' drive for e.g. not RAM.

ty.

Microsoft has a special software to use Windows XP as a shared computer for places like Internet cafes, libraries or other kiosk functions, that need the PC to be in a clean and defined state every time a user logs on.

The toolkit to make a Kiosk out of your PC is at the link below.

internet cafes use particular software that would want to attempt this. i tips going to at least one and take a seem on the particular log-on exhibit screen and word in case you'll come across a software call. If no longer, go on-line and word if there's a timer telling you the way lengthy there is left. If no longer, correct-click each and every of the icons contained in the Notification area (the position the clock is). word down any software names you spot and search for for them on the internet, see in case you'll locate any proper software. wish this facilitates.
