i applied just over a week ago for a sure start maternity grant and just woundered how long people have been waiting for their money to come through.

i had a friend who applied last Monday ( 16th ) and she got hers today ( 23rd ) i think it all depends how busy the office that deals with your claim is.
she dropped her forms into the local jobcentre.
if the money is going straight into your bank check daily ,my sisters money was sat there for ages before her letter came to tell her when it was being paid, she was not happy!!!

it shouldn't take long, just depends how busy the department that process the forms is. if i could make one suggestion though. try shopping on eBay before hitting the shops you maybe able to save a fortune. my sister bought half of what she needed using my eBay account and saved over £270 on the shop prices she used the money she saved to buy in extras on the things you run out of quickly. nappies, wipes and microwave meals - lots and lots...

Wow, I've never heard of that before. Apparently it's a program in the UK for low income women having a baby.. would've been nice if the US had that!

at the same time as i become pregnant with my son i lost my pastime, i imagine i despatched the varieties off and received it interior of four-6 weeks! i'm no longer entitled this time as i artwork, it would want to have are available in usefull although :( i imagine everybody should be entitled to the more advantageous help!

my wife received her materntiy grant 2wks after applying for it. Your grant should come soon, if your worried then call your local office about it.
