The actor Tony Shaloub does an excellent job portraying a detective with many phobias and obsessive compulsive disorders on the TV series "Monk"
What do you think Tony could do/does to destress from his role on TV?, and do you think he can avoid having symptomaitc OCD in real life (because being in character for long periods of time..rolling over into his everyday life)? Suggestions for Tony to make it easier to "de-role?"

I'm not really sure what you mean by "avoiding OCD in real life." OCD is a mental illness with a genetic predisposition that can be triggered by stressful experiences. You can't get a mental illness simply by being an actor portraying a character with a mental illness, just like you can't get AIDS by playing a character with AIDS.
