Shouldn't we just seek out conservatives and consol them, put our arm on their shoulder, say "there there", admitting you were wrong is the first step in recovery. Don't they deserve our pity? They fell for the lies when the rest of us saw right through them. They feel stupid right about now and are finding it hard to admit they were duped. Should we give them a break and promise not to ridicule their sheep-like behavior? C'mon, lets give them a chance to repent without derision. What do you think?

Yes, but you know very well that cons have a problem with one if not many of the deadly sins: pride and arrogance. Getting them to admit that they are human and have failures like regular people is never going to happen.
