There is a word for people such as serial killers and others who commit terrible acts of violence and cruelty on others and who display nor feel any kind of remorse. What is the name for that?

Psychopath is an older work for this, and sociopath is the modern word. A person without conscience. (not conscious - that is a person who is comatose)
