Aside from the blood-reapers here who have likely never been forced to take a life (though they enjoy the feeling of power that comes with proscribing death to others), you are unlikely to find a sane, educated, rational person who would argue this point, seriously...unless, of course, that person is a politician seeking to mobilize their barbarian constituents (by giving them the aforementioned feeling of power) by allowing them to feel the power that comes from imposing their will on another human being. No, child molestation is not a "balls" thing, it is a "brains" thing. As a previous commentator suggests, these people, above all, are "wired wrong." Like a rapist, the act of imposing their sexuality upon another person is not an act of carnal lust but an act of psycological, emotional, and ultimately, physical domination. It is the abbherent desire to dominate and impose one's will that leads a person to coercive sexuality, not a desire to "get off" sexually. Neutralizing their testicles' ability to produce testosterone might curb their sexual urges but not the will to dominate (which is hard wired in us all). Hence, though a very politically popular idea (in part because the vast majority of humanity has not evolved an inch from the slime that spawned them), it is a program that, should it be implemented, will never achieve the desired effect...unless, again, the desired effect is to inflict cruel and unusual punishment on offenders in order to gratify the will to power of unsophisticated savages whose desire to dominate others is mostly thwarted by civil society.

Absolutely not. The problem is with the brain. Significant studies show that the level of early childhood trauma, or misguidance is more to do with laying the tracks for such unealthy deviant behavior. Except in the realtively small number of actual child molesters that are just hard-wired for the stymulus. True, the victin is still suffered the most. However, if you kill the sex offenders, then kill the drug adicts and anyone who drinks because I've lost enough family because of them, kill anybody who has any kind of assault record (felony or misdemeanor) they're violent, and then all the sexist and racist reasons too. Don't actually kill anyone, I'm being ironic. Hey I know lets just clone Hitler, because he sure had a good idea about killing millions who he blamed all his weird beliefs on. Or.....we just form stricter laws about punishment and required completion of treatment. And try this on for size. We...D-E-A-L with our mutual problems instead of just resorting to the first quick emotion-based solution, like sex offenders do.

While castration may help in some cases, in many cases, the perpetrator would continue to molest/rape children... they'd simply have to use an object (or other body part) instead. Studies show only moderate success with castration, both chemical and surgical. Unfortunately, these people are just "wired" wrong. The desire will remain regardless of whether or not they are physically able to satisfy the urge. They'll just find another way.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! They should be non-surgically castrated, like by a madman with a rusty knife, or a crocodile...
There should be nothing surgical about it.. Surgically implies sanitary conditions, nice Doctors, that just isn't fair..
Let it happen in a back alley, or in the feedlot of a slaughter house.

Yes but as this apparently will not stop them then lets bring back hanging. That is, hang them by their testicles until they fall off. If they are not dead by the time they fall off then get hold of the person that answered that said he would be willing to shoot them in the back of the head. Obviously what I have just said is barbaric but my god what can be done to stop them?

Yes they should be fixed although that won't stop them from abusing kids.They still have many other ways to abuse kids.It's sick.Anyone that does that to a child should be locked up for life.

No. I think that surgery is too expensive and I dont think they are worth it.
Bang them up forever. Never let them back into society. EVER.
Paedophiles are wrong. They cant be treated. They cant be re-educated. They are of no use to anyone.

Wrong question! Repeat pedophiles don't deserve to live!! They deserve to be tortured and brutalized (I'm talking cutting their privates off point blank and ripping off their nipples with one of those whips used on Jesus), and after letting them rithe in pain for 24 hours-alone-they deserve to be killed via lethal injection or hanging!! AND OH YEAH, THERE IS NO ACT OF "RETRIBUTION" IN THE DEATH PENALTY OR IN TORTURE!!!!!! DID THESE PEDOPHILES TO ANYTHING TO US INDIVIDUALLY? DIDN'T THINK SO!
