WHY doesn't she 'spend time with you?" It could be that you wish she would, but perhaps she's working to support the two of you, and she doesn't have much time ... or could it be that she thinks that 'asking you to be frank with her' is SPENDING TIME with you, because for you to be 'frank' she has to be 'listening' and that IS 'spending time' ... so give her a break, and try being 'frank' with her about your feelings ... tell her that you wish she'd spend some 'fun time' with you, so you'll feel 'more comfortable 'being frank' with her ...

While Frank is a pain in the butt whenever he is around. Hopefully you, your Mom and Frank can resolves in a calm orderly manner!

Never close growing up..then when she needed a friend wants to be close and hang out.
Just do what you feel.
She cant force you to be close, just visit see how she is but only as much as you want.

try to be your own person and remember to love and respect your mother. she is trying her best you should too. tell her how you feel. talk and don't shout.
