When I am invited to stay over night at my friend's house, when I wake up the next morning, I'd tidy up the living room and do their dishes for them before they wake up.
They appreciate it though.

Sometimes I do it for payback or just to be nice to them and take off a load since I stayed the night.

Sounds to me like you're pretty nice and considerate.As long as people aren't inviting you over just to do their housework,all is good!

It's nice of you and they may seem to appreciate it, but it is slightly strange. I did that once and found out later the family thought it was kind of awkward. You're a guest at your friends house and do not have to wake up early to clean their house. Picture having a friend over, and waking up to find them doing the dishes. I mean if you know the friend really really well, it might be o.k. depending on the friend, but it's kind of strange.

To me that says you are a thoughtful and mature person. Very nice thoughts and gestures of thanks. Often when spending the night at someone's house people take a house gift, what better gift then a surprise cleaning? Good job girl!

It might say you feel the need to "earn" someone's attention, love, affection or friendship due to a low self esteem. Do you feel people won't have you around unless you do something for them? That's sad.

Jane thers nothing wrong with it but some would take it as there house isn't clean enof for you..suggest you see about obsessive compulsive medications..just a suggestion
