I got the same thing through MyPoints, so I think it is legitamite. They make their money by the other mags that ya sign up for... which are some really weird business related ones like Freezers monthly... ha ha.

You obviously clicked OK or Yes on some website, and now they have your email address. And did you also give them your name, address, phone number, SSN, bank and credit card information? You said they asked about your job. This is called phishing or fishing. They went fishing for information, and you gave them enough to tell them they have a live person.
For your sake, I hope you didn't give them any more information, and that you will press the spam button on this one, and any more that arrive. They will pester you until you block every attempt to contact you. They will finally give up.
