The calendar was a private joke with a male co-worker. Company had 6 women, 35 men, and one male (company owner's pet kisser-upper) who claimed it was disgusting for a woman that age to have a male calendar displayed. 2/3 of the men had either calendars or pin-ups (very alluring). No one else had any complaints - thought he was ugly but a funny joke.

If you are made to take it down, then every one with any type of picture that is sexual in any nature should also come down. It should be the same all around and if you are being singled out, that is harassment. So I would make an issue out of it, if they make you take yours down, then so should everyone else!! If they don't either let you keep yours or make everyone take theirs down too, then you could sue for harassment/discrimination.

If they allow "women" calendars, they have to allow "men" calendars. Go through the cubicals and take pictures of the other calendars (with your phone or a digital camera (DO THIS WHILE the other person is on break). Create a case for sexual discrimination.

I think it's hysterical, and that guy is just being a jerk.
1st off it's illegal to comment on her age.
2- if one was to raise such a stink- then NO PERSONAL photographs of any kind- calenders, pin up and family could be put up in the office. Maybe I think his wife or girlfriend looks like a whore- I find it offensive and want it removed.
It's none or all.

I think it's inappropriate to have any pin-up calenders at work, whether they're alluring or insulting or ugly. It seems a bit silly for a 45 year old woman to stoop to that level of humor.
