I wish to follow up an incident of serious ploice brutality that i saw on TV news. My MP says there is nothing he can do as it is to do with the Met, London. I cant contact an MP for London as I am not a constituent.
The incident shows disgraceful and criminal police assault and brutality on a suspect lying with his chest on the ground and his palms facing up. One of the so called "protectors of the public" was kneeling on this member of the public'c shoulder; he then punched the prone suspect eight times on the head.

The news report/police apparently justify this by saying that suspects could be concealing a gun about their person etc.

The assaulted suspect was clearly not posing any threat and I believe the police involved should be prosecuted. If not, we have an unaccountable police force whereby there will be more victims created by the police than by the criminals. I accept the police have a difficult job however they are not getting public support in acting like this.

i was going 2 state that
if u can spare the time, copy the above & send it 2 PM
B'Liar.
send a copy 2 Brown & let them know how
a. unhappy u r about living in a Police/Nanny state & Over-taxed country.
b. that this police brutality on this occasion was witnessed & noted by others, NOT JUST U alone!

i believe Jean Charles de Menezes wasn't a suicide bomber, nor was he wearing anything that looked remotely like a suicide-vest.
i've seen the mobile-phone pictures.

brian haw deserves 2 demonstrate where he likes, over the Iraq war.
sending 78 policemen in 2 tear his placards & posters down, is a BIT OVER-KILL!

police brutality exists coz the Establishment 4got 2 hold it's control over us.
suddenly we're all a threat.

so whatever u do, it'll probably b a complete waste of time.
but now i know,
along with many other level headed people.
is that enough 2 pacify ur outrage?

Im sure that your MP will do nothing. Their job is to placate you at the time they see you, promise you what ever you want and then be unavailable when you ask for a follow up meeting.

BUT....

Let me ask you this. IF, and neither of us knows, this suspect was carrying a weapon, or has been known to assault policemen, then why shouldnt the "law" have a bit of a dig?
I have been arrested in the past. Nothing serious, but I was polite and the policemen were polite in return.
I cant help but feel that you kinda get what you give in this world.
What were the events running up to this "assault"?
I know what you are saying. If the police go ferral, where will it end? But in this day and age, when the established rules of this country are flaunted by the criminals amongst us, safe in the knowledge that IF it ever goes to court, chances are that there wont be sufficient evidence to convict them, I cant help but wonder if that twatting 'round the back of the 'ead might be the only real punishment that the suspect will get........
Police dont go round smacking decent citizens......

Sorry to be so cynical but ..... I live in the UK and I wouldnt mind if the ol'bill were ALLOWED to cuff someone round the ear once in a while..

To put the other side to it. In the road I live in, there are a small group of kids, 13-15 that regularly shout there mouth off at the police. My car was walked all over, denting the roof and bonnet. It was those kids that done it. I watched them do it. The police said there wouldnt be sufficient evidence to convict ANY of them.

Smack round the ear?? Sometimes.......

Our 'bobbies' are on the front line. They are the 'thin blue line' protecting us from the bad guys. The guy getting punched in the head eight times may have been trying to pull a knife or a gun. We weren't there, so how can we tell? As seen on TV is no proof, especially with fuzzy out of focus pictures and jerky camera movements.

The police to not do a difficult job. Their job is positively downright dangerous. That's why they have to war body armour, flack jackets etc.

Next time you're attacked in the street, you'll be very pleased to see a bobby dash over and punch your attacked 800 times if need be. Think about this.

absolutely nothing...
they won't do a thing
they're very weery abt things like that, they protect there own (police officers, social workers etc..)
however if u were to say that a muslim was doin something like swearing at a 5 yr old (which is unjustified, but its just an example which is on a very lower scale to what u described) then they would bring in the big guns and they WOULD listen!!
they pathetic and crap who pass evrything through the americans before they do anything!
the cops can KILL and get away with it!

it extremely is going to be taken care of with the contempt it merits and be thoroughly ignored. those actually everyone seems to be usually searching for a clean reason to undertaking some style of conflict cry and can't understand that different international locations do no longer could desire to the two be for them or against them. each and everything seems to come again all the way down to conflict-themed paddies in the event that they think of we are no longer their acquaintances from now on. the forged human beings of those international places deserve our friendship and help, so ignoring the subject-makers is terrific. Plus, Britain grow to be exercising the comparable remarkable that Israel has in those concerns, and that i'm helpful the determination wasn't taken gently.

Don't be silly - nothing you see on TV is real :-) = sometimes it's 'based' on historical fact... other times it's just 100% made up ..

Half the news is 'posed' to make it look more "newsworthy" = both the 'demonstrators' and the 'Policeman' are often actors performing a 'reconstruction' after the event ...

As for the 'comics' we call 'Newspapers' = well they not only print photo's they KNOW are fakes, and half the time they fake up the photo's themselves !

Bet he was motorist who hadn't paid his speeding fine.Join the Masons, most of the police force are in there. You might get something done then,a word in the right ear at a lodge meeting.Otherwise, forget it, we mere mortals can do nothing.
