I was on 395n Next to the Pentagon , an i watched the plane Hit. I cant even describe the feelings I felt.

I was at school, teaching a class. We thought about the kids in NYC schools whose parents would not be there to pick them up that day. I'm grateful the kids had their friends with them when the news broke. We all needed each other that day. The kids grew up fast on September 11th.

My daughter (13) and I were getting ready to take her to school. We heard about it on the radio on the way to school. I understood that something like war was happening; my daughter couldn't make sense of it: "Planes crashed?"
The thing that I couldn't figure was, it seemed like an act of war, but there was no identified enemy, no nation responsible.
Later on, in a video, Osama commented, "They thought it was another coup attempt." Now, nobody in the US thought it was a coup attempt, and it didn't occur to me.

I was working in a hotel, cleaning rooms. The persons room i was cleaning at the time let us sit down and watch the news. At about ten thirty we heard a women screaming in the lobby, we ran out to see what was going on. She had recieved a call from her son who worked at the trade center. Apparently he had not gone to work that day. It gave me goosebumps.

I was still asleep at home. My sister called me on the phone telling me to turn on the news. She was breaking in tears. I remember how shocked I was when I saw the images of the jets crashing into WTC.

Was on a river boat dinner cruise, in Saigon, when I got to my hotel it was on the news in the lobby.
