You can do self massage using any oil/lotion of your preference. I do recommend using EMU oil as it is a great anti-inflammatory. If you buy EMU oil, be sure it is 100% refined. I found a great place to buy it online ( www.highcascadeemus.com). They also have other great emu oil products with MSM and aloe vera as well. Or you can research other EMU oil retailers online as well.

Here are a few self-massage techniques you can do:

1- your forearms (top and bottom). Place one arm on a table in front of you with palm down. Using your other forearm, starting at the crease where your elbow is, apply pressure and slowly glide your arm towards the wrist. Do this several times then flip your arm over and do the other side the same way. This will help to relax the flexors and extensors in the forearem so the nerves and blood vessels can function properly.

2- your pectoralis minor (located on the upper chest area near the shoulder about four finger widths down from your collar bone). Using your fingers gently massage this area for a couple of minutes. You will know you are in the correct area when you feel the tenderness. When this muscle tightens, it will cause nerve impingment as well.

Also do stetches through out the day. Especially, this one: extend your arm out to the side and lift your hand so your fingers point up. Press your chin to your chest and gently lean your head to the other side away from the extended hand. Hold this stretch for 60 seconds.

Make sure you do this everyday several times a day since you have a repetative motion job. It will help and reduce the need to pay for a professional massage.

If this is a work-related issue, a repetitive-stress injury, then you need to do something to stop that from happening. Left un-tended, this will likely lead to permanent disability.

If it's work-related:
You can go to Worker's Comp
Change jobs
Quit working

If you're spending so much on therapy that it's effectually reducing what you earn, you could work at a job that pays less and effectually be earning the same amount.

Either way, you need to end up consulting a real doctor about this or you are condemning yourself to incapacitation.

It could be carpal tunnel, especially if it gets better when you aren't working. This problem flares up for me from time to time, and when it does I use a wrist brace, 24-hours a day. You can buy them in any drugstore, or a store like Meijer or Walmart. It holds the wrist stationary, and this helps the problem. For some people, carpal tunnel gets bad enough for surgery. For me, the wrist brace has always helped within a day or two. I don't believe any oil would be helpful.

You have the numbness due to a subluxation in your cervical region (neck area). The pain is from repeated use of the tendons in your wrists with no blood flow due to the cutoff of blood caused by the subluxation.
If you see a Chiropractor soon, it will alleviate this problem and I suggest stretching excercises for the neck region.
Good Luck :-)
