Yes to both ... and I also like it 'plain' or in a Pita Sandwich with lots of lettuce, and some tomato with the tzatziki for 'dressing.' And if this 'matters' ... I'm Irish and this is not my 'ethnic food' but something I've liked since I first tasted it. And it is a good food for 'vegetarians' because it has no meat in it, but it sure 'tastes like meat' ... good sausage.

Tahini. Tzatziki is good too but I don't put it on falafel, it just doesn't go right for me. (Tzatziki is better on things like dolmades or veggies that need something tangy and sweet.)
Babaghannoush is a really good complement to falafel IMO; I often get a falafel-and-baba sandwich.

I have never tried one, but I will do so as soon as I see one that doesn't look like it just came out of a dogs bottom. Why are they shaped like that??

I love it both ways! Haven't eaten one in 17 years (way too much fat and sodium). Simply put, I want to live!
