Do you really believe what you see on TV commercials, or do you make up your own mind about what you see or hear? This would include health/medical, food, auto's, clothing, electronics, etc:

I think SEEING IT in a commercial is only a FACTOR, and not really the main determinant of making purchases. Other factors may include necessity, budget, versatility, storage space, side effects, etc.

Basing from the image they project of the product on commercials, I do NOT necessarily believe what I see.
In this time and age, one must consider that it might be just one of the money-making-tactics of others. It's hard to trust people with your hard-earned money, so it really pays off RATIONALIZING about it.

HOWEVER, if it belongs to a well-trusted brand, I'm inclined to say that I believe the commercials, for they are more careful with these advertisements, as they have a GOODWILL to protect... However, the SKEPTICISM is STILL there...
If it appears too-good-to-be-true, chances are, I'm already missing out a lot.

I think being on the store to CHECK OUT THE ITEM, "in the flesh", makes the big difference in deciding.

If I see something on a commercial that catches my interest, I will go and research it on the internet, magazines, etc... before I buy it. I think it would be foolish to go buy something just off of watching a commercial.

The only thing that would be an exception would be food related items. Those purchases would most likely not make much of a difference.
