I'm not going to lie- this question has an abortion slant to it. If all babies were planned and wanted by their mothers, and babies that were not wanted, not planned, couldn't be provided for, etc., simply were never born because they were aborted... how do you think the world would be different (if different at all). This is all hypothetical and would never happen of course, but one result I guess I could see would be that there would no longer be adoption agencies. Any other thoughts?

Good points raised about the adoption agencies... I bet they would have much fewer children however...
Of course this is a nutty question, that's the point! :) It's one of those crazy hypothetical questions that probably won't ever happen, but it's interesting to think what things would be like if it did.

No more adoption agencies? What about cases where the parents tragically die after the children are born? Or develop illnesses/habits that make them incapable to care for the children? Or what about cases where the parents wanted to have a child but were really unable to care for them (take the case of a 12-13 year old who is dying to have a baby and then finds out it's not all ga-ga goo-goo)? I'm pro-choice but this is a nutty question. It's just not that easy.

I don't think it's possible to speculate on the ramifications of such a change. Perhaps less overpopulation, less hunger, etc. But I still think there would be adoption agencies (albeit fewer of them), simply because no matter how well planned and wanted a baby is, doesn't mean that the parents are immortal while the baby is growing up.

Well the crazy people would sill grow up crazy but maybe they would find out what was wrong with them before they hurt or killed anyone. The mothers would have the money to take them to a doc and put on meds. I think life would be better if babies where planned and cared for etc. I think it would be a more happier place to live.

I think if this was the case, the world would be deprived not only of the potentially great people who could have been born. But also, the world would have one less way to learn to overcome adversity.
If there is no struggle, many people would not cherish what they have.

this is a ideal condition , still adoption agencies would be needed for kids who lost parents, seperated etc. second there will always be flaws and there will be more kids than we expect

Wow....that's a very astute observation you have there. Lets not forget the world would be grossly overpopulated(Even more than it is now).
