I was there in 1999 - 2000 for almost a month. The islands natural beauty is what took my breath away. Places like the Black River Gorges national Park, the place in Chamerel where you can see the seven colored earth, the waterfalls, the mountains, the beaches and so much more that i cant name off the top of my head. The other thing which i loved about the place was that there were so many different races and cultures but everyone we met respected each other and what they stood for.

We did not stay in a hotel but rented the apartment above this family who were Chinese. They assisted us with everything and then we also had a guide who showed us the entire island.

Its definitely a beautiful tropical island and i remember when i stepped off the plane the air smelt fresh and my shoulders lighter :-] a trip well worth it!
