getting around the sytem. He owes me over $30,000, and we were married 11 years, till this day he has not paid 1 cent!

Face it, he's a deadbeat Dad and you may never get a dime.
Keep filing and trying to collect. Use the court system and your lawyer for this!
But in the meantime, remind your kids every day how much you love them. Always do your very best to support them and raise them in the best way that you can.

File the papers, he doesn't need to be present.
I assume since he owes you $30,000 that there is a standing child support order? IF so take a copy to the court and have them issue a warrant for his arrest or declare him a deadbeat dad. Either will suffice to atleast turn up the heat for him.

Nancy, I don't know the laws of Texas, but in California, the Office of the District Attorney (the DA) in each county goes after these people and do one of two things: 1) arrest them and or 2) garnish their wages. Is it similar in Texas?

why are you not at the child support office and filing paperwork with them ? They are pretty good about this in Texas. My sister lives there and did not have a problem getting her ex served . Be hardcore about it this is for your children they are the most important issue right now . good luck to you .thank you falling to pieces for letting me know that there are still men in the world like you who want to populate it and not pay for it :).

Thank you, Falling to Pieces, for contributing absolutely nothing to the discussion. Doesn't matter whether he wants nothing to do with the children or not. They have to eat, wear clothing, and have a safe place to live; and it is as much the father's responsibility that they receive these things as it is the mother's.
A man who is instrumental in bringing children in this world, must also be instrumental in providing for their needs. Falling to Pieces seems to think women make babies all by themselves. I am disgusted by bums who spew such hate and encourage you to take whatever steps are necessary to get the child support you are entitled to.

Did you go straight to the court? Texas usually handles child support cases rather quickly. Get to it.

Why do all women EXPECT childsupport????? Ever heard of raising the children on your own? Try it, because if the guy doesnt want anything to do with the kids, F*ck it !!!

Go to where he lives, if it is with a woman, hand it to her. In Canda you can give it to a person living at the same residence, the person is served.
try getting in touch with the baliff there and have him served by him. You might have to pay a nominal fee, but so worth it....

Hire a private process server. They are more aggressive in serving someone than law enforcement is.

Find a good lawyer and show him that he hasn't payed any child support, then take it to court, and he will get arrested, and forced to pay!
