Guilliani or McCain. They both have excellent backgrounds and have made huge sacrifices for our country. McCain was a Vietnam P.O.W. for many years and Guilliani helped NYC through the 9/11 crisis.
The Democrat candidates haven't really done anything of value for their country. I'm not picking or choosing sides, but what has Obama or Clinton really done for their country. It seems as though they are only doing for themselves. No military service. No great crisis or new helpful policies. Just a lot of flapping their jaws, finger pointing and renigging. I really don't want to hear about how bad the Republicans were/are for their entire presidencies. I want results and moving forward. Clinton will just whine about the GOP the whole time with a chip on her shoulder. Obama? Who the hell is he? What does he stand for? See? No one knows. I hope everyone attempts to be a little more informed before voting for someone they know nothing about. Do your country and favor and don't vote at all if you don't know. We don't need you.
Just stating the facts folks.

Clinton, because shes a grown up, shes a very hard worker who is dedicated to background materials from all sides to help her in her decisions, she is smart and even though she lacks a certain charisma, and has a dog of a husband, she showed herself to be loyal and not afraid of criticism. She would be an excellent choice providing we were ready for a grown up and not some dingbat with a good smile and the ability to throw a sop now and then to the religious right.
Mc Cain is too old and his politics are changing as we speak, Guliani left office three months after 9/11 and has a lot of personal baggage with his nasty divorce and his then GF is now his wife, he also had a bad rep with minorities. Only thing good about that is that with both he and Hillary having family problems, throwing mud could backfire.

I would like to see Murtha run or maybe even someone with the socio-economic mindset of Jesse Ventura. The Dems are putting forth candidates which in my opionion have no chance of winning the South and therefore the election. Putting up Clinton almost assures the Republicans of another victory unless the Repubs put up another Bush or someone like him. A good election would be McCain vs Edwards. Either would be OK out of who is running.

I am Republican. But if forced to chose between the 2 you mentioned I would vote for Obama, and as a Republican I find him scary because
1) Fresh face, no baggage, no real political past to dig up
2) Smart, articulate, personable
3)Lack of experience as a Politician is probably more attractive than American voters really realize, because we are truly fed up with lying BS artists FROM BOTH PARTIES
4)Smart enough to know that he would need to surround himself with strong seasoned senior staff/advisors
5)HE COULD WIN!!

Mrs. Clinton, of course! And I am finding it very interesting that MOST people that are asking and answering here at Yahoo Answers are against her, but in the national polls she's in the lead...guess this say something about the people on this site...but EVEN you have the right to your opinion. :)

If I had to choose one, I would say Giuliani. I think he could actually work with the democrats and get something done. I personally love Brownback but he's a little to right to win.
