i think everyone is...we all go thru life with a feeling of invincibility just because we dont know better.
we all have it about a lot of things....getting fired, a loved one dying, getting pregnant, car accident...
my father was shot in the head by a random-schizo on a city bus...NEVER thought that'd happen to me, but it did.
life's full of surprises.

I never thought I would own a cat. I like dogs because they are easy to train, they will come when you call them and you can teach them the meaning of "no". One stormy day my wife saw an obviously pregnant cat climb into an old tree stump. Hours later in the rain, I brought out of that stump 6 kittens and the mother cat. When they were old enough we found homes for all but one of the kittens and the mother cat. They are both a joy to have around. I never thought this would happen to me.

Everyone has to have this attitude to survive ... if you went round worrying about all the endless possibilities of things that may (or may not) happen to you depending on what decision you make, two things may (or may not) happen ...
1 you may never get across the road
2 your head may explode
I hope the second one never happens to you ( but it might)

oh yes but one thing in particular. gettin married. Met my man real far from where i live (i live in Melbourne, Australia and met Jason on Fraser Island, still Australia, which is about 3000kms away....) and never knew he would be my hubby one day. After 2 months of going out together, we got married..... and 2 years later, we are still MADLY in love... yeah, had no idea it would happen to me.....

yep lots of times. never thought id marry an abuser - i did...never thought that i could be in a bad car accident - i was at 16 yrs old...didnt think i could get preggo on the pil - i did...see the theme - anything can happen to anyone!

I never thought my parents would get divorced, and even in the midst of fatherly affairs, I was still thinking they would patch it up because they always said they wouldnt get divorced.
I was very wrong.

yeah i thought my family would never be seprated but guess what they got a divorce, and the worst happened my father hasnt spoken to me in almost 8 years, so i said that my parent would never get a divorce that would never happened, but never say never
